Monthly Archives: August 2009 Lexi came to APARN at 6 weeks old because she had to have an eye out. Her original owner was given her mother and not told she was pregnant, and sold Lexi and her siblings at 5 weeks of age. A week after Lexi was purchased, the vet discovered she had an ulcer on her...  Yeah, I know I am a few months early but I figured it was time to lighten things up a bit on this blog! I just finished up the January page of the Arizona Basset Hound Rescue’s 2010 calendar and thought I would share. It features Murphy and Dorey who are owned by Robin Martin.... no comments  Cody the Cocker Spaniel was turned in to the Valley Dogs Rescue group by his prior owners. They were headed out for vacation and said that if Valley Dogs didn’t take the dog, they were going to drop him off at the pound. Upon further questioning, it turns out that Cody was purchased from a breeder... 4 comments 
Cody looks so good. It is amazing how a dog turns around in the right home. 
I got goose bumps when I saw both Cody and Buddah, great pictures. Cody deserves all the love he can get. He has a great family now! Even the cats

goldie is a vrey lucky dog to have found a home with Mary and lou. Mary was so good to her prior doggie for years and Lou loved her as well. She has found a home for life and will be taken care of and spoiled I am sure by the grandparents. 
I know Mary and Lou,and have met Goldy.I’m sure she will live the life of a pampered and loved dog. I’m happy for all involved.

That was a horror story! These are the gentlest and most loving dogs. I hope Buddy lives a long and happy life with his new person, Cheryl. She will certainly get her spot in heaven for giving this little man a forever home. Those photographs are superb. They capture both his loving nature as well as his past pain. Great job. 
You are a talented photographer to capture these priceless shots, especially the last one of Buddy lapping his tongue. It takes a special person to capture the souls of these dogs that have gone through so much and are still willing to give love. |
