Sully The Catahoula Leopard Dog

Sully was found with his littermates thrown away with harmful chemicals eating away at their little bodies and taken to the shelter. The shelter felt it best to put them down due to their injuries when the Halo Animal Rescue stepped in.  Halo gave them the medical attention and love they needed for a quick recovery before placing them in the Petsmart adoptions.

Sully’s new mom says, “We were looking for a different puppy when we walked in that day. Sully and his littermates were in the first pen and followed my niece Brittany trying to get her attention as she walked past him. He sat and watched her until she turned around and saw him. It was love at first sight. Halo volunteers made sure we had everything he needed before adoption because his little body was still very scabbed and scared. Baby Sully walked us around his littermates on his leash as if parading his new family while Brittany filled out all his adoption forms.

Once home, he ran as fast as he could falling and rolling in his new lawn before meeting the rest of four legged family members. He is now a charming happy guy, well mannered and behaved. He loves his Mom, his pack, and his kitten but is completely obsessed with tennis balls and swimming. The only reminder of his struggles is the 2 inch wide scar down his back, which we always keep his puppy sun lotion on. Everyone who meets him…loves him. He’s probably one of the best dogs I have ever had.”
