I’m in the process of creating a photo book that will also serve as a dog breed reference guide for individuals that are in the market for a new pet. It will go beyond basic dog breed facts and will tell the prospective adoptive families what they really need to know about the breed before making the decision to adopt. It will also address the most common reasons why certain dogs are surrendered by their owners to help prevent this from happening in the future. It will feature one special dog from each group that has a story to tell about the conditions that they were rescued from. The story will be accompanied by a photo that is aimed at tugging at the viewer’s heart-strings. It will also list the name and contact information of the organization that rescued the dog.
I will be donating a percentage of profits to the PACC 911 Emergency Medical Fund. This fund helps eligible rescue organizations in the Phoenix area with medical costs for their foster dogs. Read more about the fund here. Please note that this is not a PAC 911 sponsored project. This is just the charity that I chose to donate to based on the wide spread positive impact that it has on the rescue community.
I already have over 30 different dog of different breeds signed up to be featured in the book. I’m looking for just a few more. So, if you know of a rescued dog with an inspiring story to tell, please send them my way. They don’t need to be pure breeds…just predominantly of one breed.
